Ricare Trevitluck:
In 1802 the first practical steam automobile was built by him in England using a crankshaft
for first time.
Julis Griffiths :
In 1821 he built the first comfortable steam engine in England.
In 1769, a french
engineer Nicolas Joseph Cugnot
(father of automobile)invented the very first self propelled
vehicle using a steam engine. It attains a speed of
about 2.5 miles/hour for 15 minutes.

Augusto Otto:
He
was succeed in construction of I.C engine working on a cycle known as Otto cycle in
1876. Actually it was
not proposed by him. The French designer Bean De-roches had
proposed it. But the Otto was
the first person to bring it into practical use in Germany.
Dugald Clerk:
In 1878 he made a lot of
contribution in the Automobiles and described a cycle which
power stroke is
produced for every one revolution of the crankshaft.
Karl
Benz,
The German engineer designed and built the
world’s first practical automobile
to be powered
by an internal combustion engine
in 1885.
Daimler:
In 1886 he construct first high speed low construct engine which
is capable of
running at 800 to 1000 rpm
Panhard
& Levassor:
In
1896 they built a car in France with minor exception we see know. They design
the
engine placed infront of the chassis and use sliding
gear transmission and incorporate the
brake, clutch pedals and accelerator.
F.W. Lanchester:
He invented the epicyclic gear box.
Pegueur:
He invented the differential gear.
Dunlop:
An Irishman had invented the Automobile rubber tyre.
Pan Hard:
He invented layshaft
type gearbox which had been in use in since then most of the stepped
ratio type
motor vehicle.
