• If
one of the drive wheels has good traction, and the other one is on ice or mud
• The
less traction wheel cannot deliver
torque, All the torque goes to the slipping wheel
• In
these conditions vehicle will not move forward, this problem can overcome by
providing
the differential lock
Differential Lock:
• Mechanisms to allow normal
differential action when going around turns
• When a wheel slips, they allow more
torque to be transferred to the non-slipping wheel
