The
rear axle half shafts have to withstand the following loads
or forces:
• Shear
force due to vehicle weight
• Bending
moment due to offset of the vehicle load applied through the spring seats and
the
road wheels
• End
thrust caused by the side forces due to cornering ,cross wind etc.,
•
Bending moment due to end thrust and its reaction offered by the tyres on the ground
•
Driving and Braking torques
