Working Principle of Free Wheel

Working Principle:

When hub is driven in clock wise direction, the rollers ride up on the cam
By wedging action they force the outer race to follow the hub
Then outer race with same speed as hub
When hub speed sloes down the outer race is till moving faster than hub
Rollers moves down to the cams and releases the outer race from hub
This causes outer race moves independently as like roller bearing
